Sangiovese

Red Wine

The primary red grape of Italy's Tuscany region, where it is the base of Chianti and Brunello di Montalcino. In the U.S. COLA registry it appears as a standalone varietal and as a component of Italian-style blends. California plantings generate the majority of domestic filings.
