Montepulciano
Red WineAn Italian red grape primarily associated with the Abruzzo region, where it produces deeply colored wines with soft tannins and good acidity. In the U.S. COLA registry it appears as a varietal label from Italian-style producers, particularly in California. Not to be confused with the Tuscan town Montepulciano, which lends its name to a different wine made from Sangiovese.
