Carignan

Red Wine

A high-yielding red grape from Spain and southern France, widely planted in California's older coastal vineyards. In the COLA registry it appears both as a varietal wine and as a blending component in field blends. Old-vine Carignan from California's Contra Costa County is particularly well-regarded among domestic bottlings.
