Red Mountain is a compact Washington AVA established in 2001 under 27 CFR Part 9, occupying the westernmost slope of a basalt ridge in Benton County. With some of the warmest growing conditions in Washington and mineral-rich soils, the appellation is associated primarily with Cabernet Sauvignon in the TTB COLA registry. It sits within the broader Columbia Valley AVA.
