Dry Creek Valley is a Sonoma County AVA established in 1983 under 27 CFR Part 9, following the drainage of Dry Creek north of Healdsburg. The valley is known for its association with Zinfandel, which dominates the warm, well-drained benchland soils at mid-slope elevations. COLA filings from this appellation also include Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc.
