Tours-sur-Marne
Tours-sur-Marne is a Grand Cru village in the Grande Vallée de la Marne area, close to where the Marne-side and Montagne de Reims identities meet. Pinot Noir is important, but Chardonnay also has a meaningful role, so the village should be understood as a mixed Champagne source rather than a single-grape label cue. Wines and base wines can show ripe orchard or red-fruit tones, chalky structure, and fresh acidity. The Grand Cru classification places the village in Champagne's top historic village tier, not in a separate appellation system.
Notable Rules
Grand Cru village under Champagne's historic 100% échelle des crus scale; the status applies as a village classification within Champagne AOC.
