Legal name: Stags Leap District

Stags Leap District is one of Napa Valley's most label-visible Cabernet Sauvignon districts, set along the eastern side of the valley near the Stags Leap Palisades. The wines are often described through a tension of ripe Napa fruit and comparatively polished structure: black currant, plum, cocoa, savory spice, and firm but rounded tannins. Its compact size and clear association with Cabernet make it a useful mental shortcut for Napa reds that feel intense without losing elegance.
Notable Rules
