Spring Mountain District
Location: California, United States
Legal name: Spring Mountain District
Region: Napa Valley
Nested under: Napa Valley
Spring Mountain District lies on the western side of Napa Valley above St. Helena. Its steep, forested Mayacamas sites often give Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux-style blends a mix of dark fruit, red fruit, herbal notes, cedar, and firm hillside tannin. Chardonnay and a few aromatic whites also appear, but the central label message is mountain-grown Napa structure with cooler, wooded nuance.
Notable Rules
