Monprivato
Monprivato is a compact MGA in Castiglione Falletto and one of the names that makes Barolo label geography feel concrete to drinkers. It points to Nebbiolo with classic red-fruit, floral, earthy, and spice elements supported by lasting tannin. The importance of the term is geographic: it tells the reader where inside Barolo the grapes were grown.

Recent Vintages
Recent Langhe Nebbiolo vintages have been increasingly shaped by heat, drought, and abrupt rain patterns. Public Barbaresco and producer harvest notes describe 2022 as hot and dry, while 2023 brought a cool, rainy spring with downy-mildew pressure followed by hot, humid summer conditions and complicated ripening choices. For Barolo and Barbaresco crus, the safest corpus treatment is to carry a regional MGA-level note rather than pretend each named vineyard has a separate public vintage record.
