Atlas Peak occupies high-elevation terrain on the eastern side of Napa Valley. Cabernet Sauvignon is central, but the AVA is also visible to drinkers because of its history with Sangiovese and other structured red varieties. Wines from Atlas Peak often emphasize dark fruit, red cherry, dried herbs, volcanic-soil savor, and firm tannins supported by mountain acidity.
